Dr. Harrison offers a wide range of dermatological skills and his particular interests include skin surgery and skin cancer management. He is interested in both medical and surgical treatment of different skin conditions, Dr. Harrison treats every patient individually, to enable a comprehensive and holistic approach to dermatological management. He is also interested in cosmetic procedures, as well as medical, and surgical problems related to the skin.
Dr. Harrison qualified in Medicine from Edinburgh University in 1973, having also gained a pathology degree earlier in 1971. In 1975, he was successfully accepted as a physician, at the Royal College of Physicians in Edinburgh. Subsequently he was elected to become a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians at both Edinburgh and London.
Dr. Harrison began his dermatological career, after gaining extensive medical and surgical experience, in 1976, thereafter working in a number of centres throughout the UK. Dr Harrison is a specialist working in a number of different hospitals within the Morecambe Bay area, having an academic interest and is also a Professor at Lancaster University. Dr. Harrison has been a Consultant Dermatologist in Lancaster since 1980.
Patients are seen for consultation at 1 Queen Square, Lancaster for consultation but any procedures are usually undertaken at the BMI Lancaster Hospital.
